EASY Mimosa Recipe
When it’s time for a brunch or Easter celebration, or any special occasion, easy mimosas are the perfect way to start your celebration. In this post, you’ll learn how to make mimosa like a pro master. When it comes to ingredients, freshly squeezed orange juice and sparkling wine are the best ever options to make this easy mimosa recipe. When people say ”sparkling wine”, they might think of champagne instantly. But the real deal is that you can choose from sparkling wines that are less expensive. Here are some of the recommendations for sparkling wine options :
- Prosecco – This one’s our favorite. It is fruity, light, bubbly and super affordable.
- Cava – Cava is far closer to champagne than Prosecco. It is lighter and goes perfectly with mimosas.
- Champagne – If you want your wine flavor to stand out, choose champagne although it’s a bit pricy, but is perfect for making mimosas. Champagne for mimosas are awesome because of their minerality.
CLASSIC MIMOSA RECIPE
It does make a difference between using a pre-packaged orange juice and real, freshly squeezed one. I definitely recommend using freshly squeezed orange juice while making mimosas, it has a bright, concentrated citrus flavor and it goes perfectly with sparkling wine. One large orange is enough for one champagne flute. There are some things you should remember before making a classic mimosa :
- Mimosas taste best when served cold
- Skip the pulp. I personally don’t enjoy a pulpy mimosa, and you shouldn’t too! Squeeze and strain it in advance if you are making your own juice.
- Use champagne flutes. Champagne flutes are designed to preserve carbonation, so using them will make your drinks extra bubbly.

RECIPE FAQ’S
HOW CAN I STORE MIMOSAS?
If you want to store mimosa cocktails, don’t mix them up too quickly. If you mix orange juice with sparkling wine and keep it for more than 48 hours, the bubbles won’t last long. It’s better to store both ingredients separately.
Do you refrigerate champagne for mimosas?
YES! Indeed. Mimosas taste better when the sparkling wine is refrigerated. It does indeed need to be chilled. Chill it in he fridge 3 hours before serving the cocktail.
