- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 cups cold water
- 1 1/2 cup white coconut rum (3/4 cup for each jello flavor)
- 1 box watermelon jello (6oz)
- 1 box strawberry and banana jello (6oz)
- heart sprinkles
- whipped cream
Make the pink layer. In a small bowl, mix the boiling water and watermelon Jell-O. You’ll need to stir well to fully dissolve the gelatin, up to two minutes. Stir in white rum to the mixture. Pour the mixture into shot glasses to fill about 1/2 of the way. Refrigerate the jello shots until set. It usually takes about 60 minutes to set.
Make the red layer. In a small bowl, mix the boiling water and strawberry-banana Jell-O. Stir well to fully dissolve the gelatin, up to two minutes. Add white rum to the mixture. Pour the mixture into shot glasses to fill about 1/2 of the way. Refrigerate the jello shots until set. Again for 1 hour or 90 minutes.
Add toppings. Top Valentine's jello shots off with whipped cream and heart sprinkles.
