How to Make Taco Sliders
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up into smaller pieces with a spoon or spatula.
Add the diced onion, cumin, red pepper flakes, salt and powdered onion to the skillet. Sauté for a few minutes until the onion is softened.
Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
Add salsa and jalapeño and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Remove the skillet from heat and set it aside.
Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms intact.
Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish or on a baking sheet.
Spread sour cream evenly over the bottom halves of the slider buns.
Place cheddar cheese slices, then spread the ground beef mixture evenly over the cheddar cheese.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the ground beef mixture.
Place the top halves of the slider buns on top of the cheese to create the sliders.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.
Remove the foil and serve the taco sliders hot with salsa and sour cream.
