WHAT IS PINK MOSCATO
Pink Moscato is made by blending Moscato white wine with a little Merlot. The Merlot adds the ruby-pink color to the wine. Just perfect for baking sweet, boozy vanilla cupcakes with a pink buttercream. Moscato wine is sweeter than most wines. So it will add a natural sweetness to any Moscato dessert recipe.

HOW TO MAKE MOSCATO CUPCAKES
- Arrange 12 muffin liners into a muffin pan and preheat the oven to 350F.
- Use an electric mixer to cream butter with granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Then incorporate one egg at a time and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth. Then add yogurt and combine. Next, add Moscato Wine and combine.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Fold it into the batter bowl. Use a spatula to combine, and do not overmix it.
- Fill each muffin paper ¾ to the top. Bake the muffins for 20 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- In the meantime, prepare the frosting. Place softened butter and powdered sugar in a large bowl. Use a fork to combine first. Then, use an electric mixer to achieve a smooth consistency. Next, add vanilla extract, pink Moscato, and a pinch of food coloring. Note: food coloring is a very concentrated product. Start with a tiny fraction to test the color and mix, then add more if necessary.
- Fill your piping bag with pink frosting and decorate your freshly baked muffins.
- Spread some sprinkles on top of the cupcakes, and enjoy!

Store these cupcakes in the fridge for up to five days in an airtight container.
HOW TO STORE BUTTERCREAM?
Frosting holds up well at room temperature for up to 24hs. In hot weather, I’d keep them refrigerated.

For a less sweet frosting, you can reduce the amount of powdered sugar by ½ and even 1 cup. It won’t have the same consistency but will hold if refrigerated.
