INGREDIENTS NOTES
Here’s your simple shopping list to make these luscious and festive Christmas Oreo Balls!
Cream Cheese – Don’t forget to soften the cream cheese so that this recipe works out. We used Philadelphia cream cheese, but any other unsalted cream cheese brand will work fine.
White Chocolate Chunks or White Chocolate Melting Wafers – or just white chocolate. You’ll need to melt it.
Oreo Cookies – the original ones, crushed in a food processor.
Holiday Sprinkles – or any other toppings you’d like. Check the list down below for some more festive topping ideas.
HOW TO MAKE CHRISTMAS OREO TRUFFLES
Place Oreo cookies in a food processor, and pulse until ground.
Transfer ground Oreo to a mixing bowl, add softened cream cheese, and stir until combined.
Roll the Oreo mixture into 24 balls. Then, refrigerate them for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt white chocolate in the microwave in 60-second rounds until evenly melted. Let it cool to room temperature.
Coat each ball with melted chocolate, speak some sprinkles on top and let them harden on a plate or over a tray covered with parchment paper to take them off easier.
Store them in the fridge until ready to serve.
OTHER TOPPING IDEAS FOR CHRISTMAS
You can not only decorate these truffles with additional holiday themed sprinkles, but with many other fun toppings. Here are some ideas –
- Crushed Candy Canes
- Christmas Sprinkles
- Chocolate Drizzle (red and green)
- Crushed Oreos
- Peanut Butter Drizzle
- Mini Reese’s Pieces – these will make the Oreo ball look like a little ornament. How cute!
- Pretzel Ears, Googly Eyes and 1 Red M&M’s candy to make them look like cute little Reindeers.
As you can see the possibilities are endless, you can actually use 3-4 toppings to make them look super fun and festive in a beautiful holiday tray.
TIPS FOR SUCCESS
- Use kitchen tongs to grab coated balls.
- Spread sprinkles immediately after coating as the chocolate hardens fast.
- Cover your plate with parchment paper, which helps lift hardened balls.
- Instead of coating all the balls, drizzle some melted chocolate on top of them to have a variety of looks.
- Soften Cream Cheese – Be sure to take your cream cheese out of the refrigerator before starting this recipe. That way it has time to soften, making it easier to thoroughly incorporate it with the crushed Oreos.
- Try out this recipe using Oreo flavors such as mint, chocolate, peanut butter, or even Golden Oreos.

HOW TO STORE OREO TRUFFLES?
While these Christmas Oreo truffles can be left out for a bit if it isn’t too warm, they taste best chilled and should be stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
