INGREDIENTS NOTES
You only need 5 ingredients to make this spice mix. Here’s your shopping list –
Allspice – You need this or cloves, or both to really make this recipe successful. If you have one, simply double the amount of the other in its place. If you don’t have any of these, you can try using pumpkin spice mix.
Ground Ginger – If want to make your spice mix milder, simply cut ginger amount in half. Or you can make it more gingery by adding an extra teaspoon of ginger to your mix. But I recommend being extra careful with this as the amount in this recipe is already spicy & gingery enough.
Ground Cloves – You need this or allspice, or both to really make this recipe successful. If you have one, simply double the amount of the other in its place. If you don’t have any of these, you can try using pumpkin spice mix.
You can also add other spices, such as, coriander and cardamom for extra flavor, but that’s optional.

TIPS FOR SUCCESS
- If you want another boost of flavor, add 1/4 tbsp of cardamom. It will add a nice flavor note.
- I don’t recommend freezing or refrigerating this spice mix as the moisture will ruin the texture.
- The awesome thing about homemade spice mixes is that you can adjust it to your own preferences. If you would like one spice to be more prominent, simply add some extra until it’s just right for you.
