HOW TO MAKE CARAMEL APPLE JELLO SHOTS
Add the jello and boiling water to a medium mixing bowl. Stir until the jello fully dissolves.
Add the caramel vodka and stir again.
Pour the jello mixture into a pourable measuring cup, or something similar.
Line your shot cups up on a moveable surface such as a tray or baking sheet.
Fill the shot cups about ¾ of the way full.
Chill for 2 hours or until fully set.
If desired, use a frosting bag and frosting tip to add a dollop of whipped topping to the top of every shot. Drizzle with caramel, and enjoy!
TIPS FOR SUCCESS
Do not garnish these if they need to be stored. To store, cover all shots with lids and keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. Do not freeze. Garnish when ready to serve.
If you want your shots thicker, simply reduce the alcohol by ⅓ cup. If you would like them thinner, add more alcohol, starting with ¼ cup.
The jello flavor is very strong, which is why I skipped apple vodka altogether.
Jolly Rancher has a green apple jello that works perfectly as well.
If you use the caramels as a garnish, along with the whipped topping, I usually cut the caramel in half and it looks/fits better.
