INGREDIENTS NOTES
Here’s everything you need to make these banana pudding shots!
HOW TO MAKE BANANA PUDDING SHOTS
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the milk and banana pudding mix. Whisk until thickened.
Add the vodka and whisk until thoroughly combined.
Add 8 ounces (half) of the whipped topping to the pudding bowl, and mix until thoroughly combined.
Cover the pudding bowl and place it in the fridge while you prep the next steps. This is just to keep it chilled while prepping.
Line up your cups on a flat, moveable surface, such as a cookie sheet.
Place a ½ Tablespoon of crushed Nilla Wafers into the bottom of each shot cup and spread evenly. You will have crushed Nilla Wafers left, that’s perfect. Set them aside as they will be used later.
Spoon the pudding mixture on top of the cookie layer until the shot cup is about ¾ of the way full.
Using a frosting bag and frosting tip, if desired, top the shots with a dollop of whipped topping.
Place a banana slice and a mini Nilla Wafer on the top of each shot. Sprinkle with the remaining crushed Nilla Wafers. Enjoy!
TIPS FOR SUCCESS
I do not suggest storing these as the cookies can go soggy. If you don’t mind softened cookies, you can store these, covered, without garnishes, in the fridge, for up to 2 days. When ready to serve, add the garnishes. For best results, serve immediately.
Replace the vodka with one more cup milk and you have a kid-friendly mini banana pudding cup.
I use an Ateco #824 frosting tip and just a regular frosting bag from Walmart/Amazon to make the dollops on top of the shots.
Do not make the mistake of overfilling the cups with pudding. After adding the whipped cream and other garnishes, it will fill it up quickly.
If you want the pudding to be thicker, reduce the vodka to half the amount.
You can use any alcohol you prefer, in place of the whipped cream vodka. 99Bananas, rum, and vanilla vodka are all great choices as well.
