What is a Jello Shot?
A jello shot is a small drink that is typically made with vodka and gelatin. There are endless possibilities to switch up the gelatin flavor and the alcohol to make super fun and boozy drinks for adult parties. Jello shots are flavored in so many ways. Super easy to serve, drink and make for large crowds! The same goes for holiday season – there are so many ways how you can make Christmas jello shots, this time we will use the traditional vodka with marshmallow flavor and triple sec that is used in cocktails. For the green color we will choose lime jello.

INGREDIENTS NOTES FOR GRINCH JELLO SHOTS
These Grinch Jello Shots are perfect in so many ways. One of them being a recipe with only 5 simple ingredients –
Lime Jello Mix – you can also try any other green jello flavor, such as green apple. Make sure the jello is bright green.
Marshmallow Vodka – substitute this with cake vodka or vanilla vodka. Switch the alcohol to lime-lemon soda for a kid-friendly version.
Triple Sec (Peach Schnapps) – used in many cocktail recipes, gives a sweet flavor to the shots.
Whipped Cream
Edible Red Hearts – you just can’t go without these to make them real Grinch movie inspired shots to make your own heart grow 3 sizes. You can also use smaller hearts or maraschino cherries.
HOW TO MAKE GRINCH JELLO SHOTS
- Combine lime jello mix with 1 cup of boiling water in a bowl. Mix it well.
- Stir in marshmallow vodka and cold water. Allow the mixture to cool down for 10 minutes.
- Pour evenly into jello shot cups and refrigerate until fully set. It will take about 2-3 hours.
- Top each shot with whipped cream and one heart in the center before serving.
